Wendell Castle maps the generational dimensions of the studio furniture movement in his talk “An Idea in Transition.” Castle is renowned for his whimsical, organic designs in both wood and gel-coated fiberglass, as well as for his high-quality, innovative fabrication techniques. His work is included in major art museums across the country, such as the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
